I called Mark at TST and suggested the idea of a remote for TST box that could mount in a 2" guage placement for A-pillar mount guages, that way you could see and adjust your settings easily while driving and to make up for that spot in pillar you could use dual function guages like boost/pyro

Does anyone here think there would be a demand for a remote like this versus the current style?

I think this would make a very sanitary installation.

Please respond with you thoughts on this, if demand for this is good TST can look into mfg.

Would there be enough room for two digital readouts plus the three buttons in a 2" round hole? Seems a little tight to me.

I would say that there wouldnt be enough room for more than one readout and 2 or 3 buttons. If you've seen the Banks Six Gun Controller for the Powersmokes, its a guage replacement module. The way they word the ad, it also sounds like its the entire unit also.....

How about a wireless remote with a little readout? Now I could go for that. I want a free one if TST does it however. I said it first!! :)

How do you mount the monitor in the ash tray?

That is exactly what I am thinking... . ME also thinks that at the critical time of monitoring EGT's, I would NOT want to be looking downward for the info.

I put mine in the instrument cluster bezel in the lower left havd corner infront of the fuel gauge. Its a bit tight but its not to bad of a spot when it comes to viewing it with a bit of concealment.

I was more asking what was required a 90 degree bracket? I think with the safety features of the EGT backdown, I'm not that concerned.

i have installed a couple and they have come out killer. I screw and glue the back of the remote to the 12 volt power supply cap and they put right where the lighter goes. You can pull it out when you want or its right there in plane sight when you want it.

I have the R49 w/ readouts, but since I already have gauges (and egt backdown) I'm not worried about what the remote says. I'll be mounting mine in the ashtray as well asap.

That being said, I think a 2"gauge would be awesome. Looking at a SPA gauge, I think it's easily done. Instead of a membrane-type switch, which takes up some space, they could use microswitches with small buttons and easily felt detents, perhaps a row of three on the right side of the dual display, or maybe a row of three between the upper and lower display. I would have ordered something like that if it was available.

TST Remote Mounted

I got use to the Attitude on the A-Pillar mount location, so I used a Pro-Fit Int. UltiMount to put mine in about the same spot. It is a universal mount that swivels for angle ajustment. I like it there.
