With the truck stock i could make a trip to the lake and back, running 80 mph and would see fuel mileage between 14-16 mpg empty. The trip is from st. louis to lake of the ozarks and back. I fill at the same station in st. louis when i leave and when i get back. I based the mpg by hand calculations. That trip usually involves some drving around town and the ocassion stop light punch. Made that trip this weekend with the tst. was on tq of 3 all the time. pwr level from 4-6. this trip also had a few smoke shows and eating 2 new pwrjoke 6. 0 for lunch. when i go to st louis to fill i calculated by hand and got 18. 2. :D I figured with the smoke shows going that fast and the extra pwr i would get the same or worse. Will test the results again next time i go. Haven't been able to test the towing mpg yet. the boat is in the shop for fiberglass work:mad: should get it back this week and be towning this weekend with the slide in truck camper as well. will post those when i know them.

Since installing the PMCR, I have gained a solid 2-2. 5 mpg towing (2hp/2te) and 1. 5-2 mpg empty (Probably more if I could stop taking people for a "RIDE"). I am truly impressed with the mpg gains and definately the power!! Averaging 900+ miles per week towing, so it'll pay for it's self before too long. The fun factor is just a bonus!

how much weight are you towing, and at what general rpm is theCTD turning to yield 2-2. 5 mpg?

I'm towing between 8k and 10klbs. up to 15 times weekly on a 24' bumper pull, and up to 30k on 30' gooseneck usually once or twice a week.

As far as the general rpm, usually between 1900 and 2200rpm. It really varies from country backroads to short interstate runs.

It's hard to install something like that and NOT have it leave evidence. As far as I know anything that even boost fools can be detected.

Well, I was under the impression that the predator modules were undetectable to the dealer programmers, if you unplugged it before taking it in for service, so I was wondering the same about the TST box.

towing mpg increase.

Gained 2 mpg towning with the truck camper and boat. I was running from 65-75 like I usually do. Went from 10. 5 to 12. 5. all hand calculated. I weigh in about 13700. rpm from 1900-2300 n 5th gear.

A side note though is with the clutch. On 3/3 it will shudder when accelerating through 4th but man did it help with the 4th gear shift. Truck used to fall on it face from 3rd to 4th. Not any more.

I installed my tst so quick on mine i probably only had 5k miles on it. I normally would get around 15 mpg when running 70-75. If i ran 68 it would tend to be upper 16's. Now that i have closer to 20k on my truck my mpg has picked up. Also the other mod i did last week helped. I figured the mileage by hand and got 17... the trip computer showed 15. 6. I am continually monitoring this... the computer seems to be off.

Another member on the site is a mech at a Dodge dealership close to my house. The fool the dealer question came up on the Rattlin Rams web site. He answered that the new scanners are so good, fooling them is not an option. He recommended bombing easy, and you most likely will not be in the dealer. He also commented that the new fuel rails are not bullet proof. He just replaced a fuel pump and a fuel rail. Just remember, it's your truck, it's your choice. And remember also "THERE IS NO WHINING IN BOMBING" ;)
