TST on a 600 auto

A freind of mine has a TST box on a 600 automatic, the box performs great but anything above 3/3 setting it may be slipping the torque converter or transmission. When driving down the road at about 55 mph when he pushes the pedal down hard but not enough to kick it down a gear the turbo spools up and there is a good puff of black out the tailpipe and it sounds like the engine revs faster than the truck moves. I was wondweing if anyone else with a 600 auto had experienced the same thing.

Mark Chapple has a TST CR box on his 04. 5 Auto 3500 (ATS equipped).

There is a fix for this problem!

You are probably making that torque converter slip.

Does Mark C. ever read this forum? Surely there is someone else with a TST on a 600 auto. Anyone out there????????????

Cant speak for the autos but my 6 spd does the same thing at about 5/5. Its just slipping, Good excuse for an upgrade!

I've ran mine on 5/5 when just showing off, but never noticed anything "slip" other than those four black rubber things slipping on the asphalt.

Thanks RodDawg, I appreciate the response. Mine might slip the transmission easier being its 3. 73 gears.
