Which one is better for overall performance? Also which one is more engine friendly i dont really want to run a stack just one or the other dont really tow much but would prolly tow 10K at least once a year for about 200 miles what do you guys think?

I like the TST more... Then again I cant get a CL program for my 03

One things for sure, Warranty wise the TST is less likely to get you in trouble. I am not saying that you should decieve your dealer, But some dealers see the "total starts" that are effected by the downloader and say no-go on the warranty on anything on the truck

To keep your warranty use the tst. Just had to shell out over 3k for a new cp3 pump and pressure sensor ! Warranty picked up on where the downloader had been pulled out and voided the warranty. I am now running tst it has all the power you need

2005 3500 quad cab 6-spd ddsb 12cb#3600 tst, htb2, 5" turbo back, fass, afe air box, crazy larry downloader is under the seat for a day at the track or just a night on the town. dyno 563hp 1101t with backdown set at 1300

I am confused on how you can keep your warranty with the TST does it not show up once you dissconnect it? also i have been going back and forth on which turbo set up to do with the chip i choose. Should i go with the twins or just the sledpuller 66 would like to be able to tow around 10K if the need ever came up but it prolly would only be for maybe 200 miles once or twice a year

The TST only alters all the inputed info it recieves then fools the info going to the ECM and sensors to think its running like nothing has changed.

As for a turbo, there are alot of people running the Indstrial Injection SPS 66. If you have the money to spend then twins wont be beat by any drivable single, but for most are overkill. 550-600 HP can be achived with a good single and be pretty streetable IMO

I have both and like each one for their own seperate reason. The TST makes all it's power without adding pressure. The downside is that it is a little slower to get the twins spooled. The BDDL is a great box for spooling the twins, but I feel it does not have the potential for higher HP like the TST does. Not to mention the TST is adjustable on the fly.

yeh, but the lowest level on the bully dog does not add pressure. You could however go with an EZ for pressure.

Almost forgot... . I have been running the SP Diesel beta box lately stacked with the TST. It has some settings that ramps up the fuel delivery quickly. They are also working on some programs to compliment the TST box directly.

I dyno'd(522/930) and ran at the DHRA Finals Saturday (Best trial time 13. 27s) with the stack and my mods below.

BD Triple Dog (Latest Update w/Crazy Larry) Performance program loaded.

Edge EZ on Level 2

TST(w/Twins Program) on 7/7

Did not nuke anything and very surprising I threw no codes at all. I normally will throw P0088 a couple of times with just the TST and BDDL on those settings. Adding the EZ seemed to help more than it should, especially at the track. It really helps to lite the SPS66 quicker.

ok and with those 2 i would probably be fine with the SP66 correct? also since my tranmission is new would i be able to get buy with just a torque convertor and vavle body? What else would i need for it if not?

Who was the king of the hill saturday night?. I heard yall had alot of fun.

One thing to remember is that if the dealer has a good technician that knows what to look for, they can find out you're running a box.

If you have a box that does some boost fooling (TST, Quad, TS, Edge etc. ) it will only allow the ECM to see a maximum of x lbs of boost.

An unmodified truck will not top out exactly at 21psi (I believe that's the TST limit, others may be different) every time you nail the throttle. Several fingerprints are left, but since I'm not a tech I don't know what they are.

Perhaps someone else will chime in?

I have never seen one of those... :-laf

Really though, most techs will not look unless something provokes them too

Had a TST on my 03 till the day I traded it at 53,000 miles. The 05 has been TST'd since 99 miles. It currently has 26,000 miles on it. Been twinned since 12,000 miles.
