just wondering what u guys think of these products. im contimplating one or the other. i really dont want to stack, i just want around 550-600 hp. i plan on running f1 injectors, glacier diesel fuel system, one of the power boxes, clutch, turbo (anyideas on that would be nice to, twins or single?) pros and cons would be nice. im leaning towards the smarty for tire calibration. any input from you guys would be great.

Well, I've had the tst stacked with a few different things on the 250hp, 305hp and 325hp engines and I just got my Smarty yesterday. All I can say is GET ONE!!!!!!!!!!!! The tst will make great power, but it needs some help on the bottom. If your just gonna go with one chip, definately the smarty. The throttle response is unbelieveable. And it pulls hard through the power band. The only place I could fault it is that its not adjustible on the fly and the top end could use a little help. But I have no reason of turning this thing down so who needs it to be adjustible anyway. I'v got it set on 170 w/timing. I'm also running the HT Sledpuller 66. I can't believe how quick this chip spools that turbo. I'm gonna stack mine with a tst later.

I got my Smarty yesterday also. In one work all I can say is insane. This is by far the most power I've ever had. It sounds rediculous but I couldn't sleep much last night thinking about it. I plan on having it stacked with my TST and EZ but haven't had the guts to turn the TST on and only the EZ on level 1 (lowest setting without removal). Wow

I have not been impressed with TST. Loads of problems. BDDL has been fine by its self. I wouldn't mind going with the smarty, but it doesn't seem very streetable. I don't want to spend 3-5 min. changing settings. I think with some injectors and my triple dog, I will be happy and problem free. I realize that dealer can detect BDDL, but who wants their dealer working on their rig anyway? I guess I just want so see more of the smarty before I buy one.

I've had the BDDL, BDDL w/CL and Tripledog W/CL, TST, TST Twins, TST/EZ, etc. . The only thing that is even close to the Smarty is the BDDL w/CL. But the Smarty seems to have a little more bottom end. EGT's are lower than the BDDL. I can only hit 1250-1275 degrees at WOT. And Way more smoke :D . I was very dissappointed in the Tripledog CL version. All my customers so far thats driven my truck is wanting to trade their Bullydogs in on a Smarty. So can I interest anyone in a Bullydog package deal :-laf ? I haven't tried it on a 305hp truck yet. I'm still running the Sledpuller 66 with my Smarty and it spools very quick. A lot quicker than the TST/EZ stack. I can't imagine throttle response with a smaller turbo. Can't wait to try it on a completely stock truck.

On my truck with an auto the TST/EZ spools my turbo faster than the Smarty! The Smarty has quicker (too quick) throttle response, and to get the power out of the Smarty that the TST/EZ stack can produce you have to download at least #7 and then driveability of the Smarty is, in my opinion, not nice!

If I am forced to choose between the two, because of an issue I have posted in a different thread, I will stay with the TST/EZ stack. I may not be able to roast my tires :-laf or black out the street behind me :-laf quite as easily but the driveability of the Smarty with an auto needs some fine tuning, IMO :)

He could not have said it better. Smarty just needs some more time.

I was a big fan of the TST/EZ, but I can't say I have ever been satisfied with it. I've read several sigs and almost all the big hp trucks are running the stack. I've had it on a 2003 250hp, 2003 305hp, and 2005 325hp. My 2005 was the strongest by far, then I sold a friend of mine a BDDL CL and he smoked my ***. I had TST/EZ, DDP sticks and the 66 turbo and he smokes me with just a BDDL CL on a stock truck. Both 6 speeds, And I can assure you the shifting was in my favor. But we ran yesterday and he wasn't so successful. I got him pretty good off the line. Which surprised me since I'm running the bigger charger. But on top end I killed him. And my cousin has the TST/EZ stack with the HTT 62/12 on an 305 hp truck and he didn't even have a chance. I know different things work on different trucks, but I just can't believe the TST/EZ stack has been outdone by both downloaders that cost a lot less $$$$$.

great feedback. i have to say that i wasnt going to stack, but now i just might. i wasnt looking to drop $900 on the tst but it sounds like the way to go. i have to wait for the smarty anyway, october sounds good, be a good birthday present for me. as for the torque on the bottom end, i really want it. i have a six speed with 35"s, so the torque would be good to have. bob is there a waiting list for the 06 model? if so, put me on it

Hey Bob,

In your opinion, would the Smarty be the best choice for my 305/555. Towing and EGT's are my main issues, not ultra high HP levels. No other mods planed at this point. 4" downpipe and some sort of fresh air intake could be in the works, but I'm not looking at replacement turbos or injectors.
