I have a basically stock 96 Ram. I'll be putting 4" exhaust on it within a few weeks, and I'm looking ahead to more mods. I've been considering the TST #11. I really don't have the coin to drop on an upgraded clutch, so I'm thinking that around 300 to 325 HP is my limit. I've also been looking at getting better injectors. My question is how can I accurately judge HP levels if I were to install the #11 plate, and bigger marine injectors? Also, can anyone suggest a place to buy injectors? Thanks,

With a #11 plate and 370 injectors I made 389hp on the dyno. I dont think the 4k GSK contributed much to those #s. If you go light on injectors to save the clutch you will regret it later. I installed my 370s first and the increase wasnt a lot, maybe 40hp but the addition of the #11 plate woke it up. You can reduce power by sliding the plate to the rear and when you can get a clutch then slide it forward. My HP #s were with the plate full forward but I move it back about 1/8" for normal driving. See sig for details.

A set of Don M's Mach3 EDM's are a real nice addition, same power leavel as 370 marine's with a better spray patteren. :D

If it's a 96' 5 Speed put a $225. 00 plate in it..... #11) a set of $125. 00 3K Governor springs in and drive it, your injectors are fine!

I'm thinking that 300 is a good guess. In a 97' 5 speed #10 equivalent plate, 3K's timing and no tricks netted 345, 16cm and a little tuning netted 373, Water/Methanol added went to 447/1008 all with a stock turbo, last 2 were with a Con O clutch!

A #11 is a really nice addition!

I'd go with either the plate OR the injectors, but not both without a cluch.

I have a #11 sitting in the garage waiting on a new cluch.

I have to depend on this as my daily ride, so I dont want to toast the cluch, which is what I'm told will happen if I do the plate with the injectors.

Thanks for all the info guys, I think I'm going to go with the #11 and the 3gsk for now. If for some strange reason I come into a pile of $$$ then it's time for a south bend, and those 370's! Hey if ya want to part with your #11... I think I know a guy who is in the market for one... . :D

If GSK go with the #10

I agree the #11 is a great plate in a 96+ 5sp, but it does not perform as good when GSKs are added. If you really want more RPMS (96+ 5sp have pretty decent RPMS without any GSK) I would go with the #10 plate. You can run it slight back from stock location to control the power. It is a much more forgiving plate as far as the govenor lever adjustment, and it still cuts back fuel in the higher RPMS.

I did 340hp with a #11 and gained 48hp by going to the #10. I think the #10 is a nice smooth runing plate with the GSK. I can not say the same with the #11 with the GSK.

If you decide to run a #10 run it FULL back other wise it will toast your clutch.

Thanks for the backup on the #11, I forgot that it has an issue with Gov springs... . kind of like the 5 and 6 in the auto's..... once again the 10 is the best way to go!
