i love my 6 speed. wouldent trade it for anything now the tst i might trade for a comp box after i get my ECM taken care of..... i might just have to try 3rd gear lanch agian. hate to do it on an already failing clutch. but hell y not.

i also wander if stacking a comp (not taped) with a tst would be a good combo... i might try it if i get a comp box... . has anyone done this?

EZ/TST is a good set up. I have the luk clutch and have no complaints. The pedal is nice and smooth. I had the TST comp version, the HO vp-44 doesn't like the comp program. TST said the orifice in the HO pump is smaller then the SO pump. They don't recommend using the comp on a HO. I like my TST more after stacking the EZ on. But when you get into the gas the egt rise and with me thats with only 275rv injectors. Hopefully not for long, I need more PSI

I think that if you stack the tst and a comp with the tst tapped to the wire, then you'd pretty much have the same thing as a tst stacked with an ez. The comp does both fuel and timing and you would limit it's capabilities to timing by not tapping the wire. I could be wrong but I wouldn't risk it.

the Comp seems like the way to go. and i like the ajustablity. but that will be down the road after i get injectors to see how they help the bottom end. if im not satisfied ill eather get a comp or try an Ez. for now i just gotta be Patient and save my money… ive got the wants soo bad :-laf someday

If it's improvement in the bottom end that you want, try a MAD CaTCHER ECM. It'll out rock an EZ any day but it doesn't play well with another timing box.

the thread for the catcher ecm is loooooooong but all in all it is a stock ecm module reprogrammed by marco in italy (wait time) and i agree they say it will spank the performance of the ez, but there are no real performance gains, just a seat of the pants fun to drive feeling. it is said the catcher works great with the tst box because the catcher adds timing, and that is the same reason it doesnt work well with the comp. the comp adds timing, catcher adds timing=too much timing, so a "special" catcher is needed. i was considering going with the catcher, but the way i figure is i can get an ez for alot cheaper and can add 60hp and 180ftlbs, and basically fix the bottom end which is the original goal anyway right???

yea thats the goal... let me know when you get yours. i wanna see some smoke but i think that will come with the injectors. probably more then i want but thats ok..... ithink iv been bit buy the same bug as you im defiantly infected. :-laf Thanks,

Justin

i will let you know, hopefully it will be soon. my ez smoked way more than my tst down low, but the tst leaves the haze when your on it. either way i want more smoke!!! :D

so do u have an Ez already? i to want some smoke. ive herd that an Ez with injectors will make some good smoke. i live in a farming comunity were there are alot of diesels. and the black smokes not hated so bad :-laf .

i used to have an ez, i sold it and went with the tst box. if i were as smart as i am now  i would have held on to it to stack it. the ez alone threw a pretty decent cloud, so i am looking forward to the timing and fuel that will be coming!!

Bob Wagner has dynoed the Catcher on his automatic truck with Mach 2. 5 injectors and Dodgezilla hybrid 35/40 turbo. He showed a 63 HP/168 ft/lb increase. Same day, same dyno, Catcher on, then stock ECM on. This plus the increased feel over an EZ. The dyno graphs are posted in several Catcher threads. Mach 4 injectors made 400 HP on the same truck with the Catcher.

i think that reprograming the ECM is the same thing that Dr. performace did befor he got in trouble for it. so a catcher would probobly be similar to what i have. though there is no way to tell. im ganna tryinjectors and if im not happy then i dunno yet maybe ill get someone to loan me an EZ to try it. but for now i cant do anything untell i have the ECM reprogramed

dont get me wrong i am not against the catcher, if i had the two in front of me i would take the catcher over the ez any day! the only thing i see about the catcher is the fact that with the catcher, you have to purchase another ecm, and send it to italy to get reprogrammed and it costs more than just buying an ez. but like i said i have read most of the catcher thread and would prefer that, but hmmm maybe later on... by the way for the real questions and real answers the best thing would be to contact bob wagner http://www.wagnerandassociates.biz/ or read the thread (long!!)
