Hey yall. I put the Tst powermax 3 on my truck a couple months ago. I never turned it up and mashed it from a stop light or dogged it real bad. It seems sometimes when its on 4 and 5 (and im sure when its higher, havent tried it yet) it has a big engine stutter, sounds like the motor is breaking apart. I am used to gas cars and pro street dragsters, it sounds like a gas motor when the timings off and its breaking apart. The trans is all stock, only 60k on the truck; but I do not think its the trans at all. Is it just dumping to much fuel for the stock injectors to burn in the truck? Thanks, John.

ive only had mine on a few weeks and never heard anything like that. my nozzles arent much bigger than stock. it is totally smooth. i love it.

Yeah, thats what I thought. I am trying to put a new fuel filter on today, hope that does somthing. If not, do you think it might be a lift pump of vp44 problem, maybe injection pump? My truck throws no codes. Thanks you all.

I forgot to mention, I have a fuel pressure gauge but have been lazy and havent put it on. I have the red and black power wires ready and run capped off. Guess I should put it in soon.

Do you have anything doing your timing for you? TST pm3 does fueling only. Not sure how this is affecting your trucks issues now, but I do think it'll run much better if you have something to do timing..... edge ez, smarty, van aaken.

Mine did the same when I installed it. The TST connector is really poor and it is kicking in and out due to it. I switched to a Posi Tap and it cleared right up. I think TST now offers a lid for the VP that taps it internal. I thought it was like $40 and might also be worth a look.

My TST came with the Posi-Taps and I decided to try them out. It was a bit tight, but I put two on the pump wire and looped a wire connection between them. I also smeared the spear point and the connection end with dielectric grease before twisting them together.
