Just Installed the tst box 3 days ago. This box is awesome :) ! After the install I set the box to 3/3 (the highest I am willing to go with only an AFE intake and a flowmaster muffler). Factory boost was hitting 35psi at its peak. After the wastegate mod I could only hit the mid 20s. The truck was slower than stock!. The next day I removed the wastegate mod and the boost peaked at about 40psi (my autometer only goes to 35psi, time to get the 60psi gauge) the truck took off like greased lightning and I could not wipe the smile off my face :-laf . Just wondering if any one had the same thing happen and what is the use of this mod.

on the newer 600 and 610 motors the wastegate is electronically controlled. When the TST mod is done to the wastegate, it is now acting as a normal wastegate and is opening at 20 PSI instead of when the computer tells it to. That is what is keeping your boost lower. The boost has nothing to do with the power level the TST is putting out. You should still see the same power either way with it. As for what you have done by disconnecting the boost mod, that can be very distructive. The TST fools the computer into thinking it is never seeing more than 20 psi of boost. So the computer never tells the wastegate to open. Boost levels with that set up can reach in the 40's very easily. On a stock charger running in the upper 40's you are going to be living on borrowed time. The charger will not last. So keep it on the lower settings till you get the wastegate functioning.

I find it odd that you are getting less boost with the mod installed. I just put the same box on my truck a few weeks ago and with the settings at 3/3 I'm easily hitting 32-35lbs of boost. I can't risk going any higher than that because of the plastic ends on my intercooler. Like you though I love this box.

did you tell mark that you had an 05 truck? If so he should have sent you a different boost elbow that is calibrated different.

I could try hooking the wastegate mod up again, but all I know is that the first night I drove it is that boost pressure was effecting the power of my truck. With the mod it was as slow if not slower than stock with the tst set to 3/3. I don't want to damage my turbo or worse. I might as well not even use it with the mod. Wouldn't the trucks PCM see the reduced boost (wether seeing actual or fooled) and defuel some for emissions reasons and thus reduce the overall amount of fuel delivered. After all less fuel + less air = less power. I think I will drop tst an email.

Hooked to the boost mod again to see what would happen. It worked just fine this time. Don't know what happened the first time, I did every thing the same.
