P0192 Code ! Help

Hi, guys, I just installed the Powermax Cr with gauges.

Now, the truck starts out in 2nd and doesn't shift. The codes are:

0602

2769

0973

0882 tcm power low

After I clear the codes with the BDDL, only the 0882 TCM power low remains and the truck starts out in 2nd...

I disconnected the batteries before installation and have rechecked connections. I did not do the boost modification as my after market turbo does not have a waste gate. The truck was fine immediately before putting the TST on.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks, Bill

Did you remove the TST? Does it still have the symptoms?

Truck is way too hot right now... Plus it's 102 here... Be a while before I am reaching for that cam sensor ;)

OK update: Removed the TST, reprogrammed with Bullydog to "stock". Truck is going into the shop on Friday... Could be a bad coincidence of something not related to but happening at the same time as the TST install.

It is a good time to take it to the dealer... 10k miles and a couple of gripes...

a "rattle under acceleration only between 2100 and 2500 rpms... Abocve and below that range, smooth.

Lumbar does not stay in its' darn position.

Persistent code 2607

Now these other codes that I started this thread on. I wish that I could put my '01 engine in this truck. I modded the Hell out of that engine and didn't even know where the check engine light was on that truck!

Cheers

Ok, dropped it off at the dealer this morning... Integrity Chrysler here in LAS... Service advisor Calls me at 1 pm says that the truck needs a new valve body.

I say holy cow, what might have caused that with 10k on the clock? He says they feel that a port was not machined propery in the body and that it took a while to manifest itself. No kidding, a total honest assesment! They are ordering it and then will work on the 2000-2500 Rpm engine knock...

It is unreal that the valve body problem occurred at the exact time I installed the TST box. I mean, I had just installed the TST, started the truck up and it took off in 2nd. How is that for timing?

:D

Cheers, Bill

Good to hear they found the problem, Call me when you get the TST back on...

PS - You should get them to drop in an ATS/DTT valve body while its down, Hey you can dream right?

Tomey, don't even think that didn't go through my mind! I figure I don't want to push my luck as so far they are cool with my mods and suspension... FWIW, this dealer has several trucks sitting on the lot with dealer installed lift kits :-laf

I will tell you this, even though my truck was locked in 2ND gear, I could tell a dramatic difference... I had the TST on 4x4 and the BDDP on the tow program. I will reinstall it next week ;)

I may not reprogram with the BDPP when the truck gets back. I may put an EZ on just to not mess with the code. This truck has been somewhat temperamental and I don't want to push the electronics too much.

I will still keep the BDPP to read and clear the notorious 0299 code should it rear it's ugly head again.

As far as the "rattle" between 2100 and 2500... does it sound like an engine rattle. . ie. like its comming out of the exhaust?. . Mine has been doing that for the last 20k miles... Really started to notice it when I put the stacks on... I thought about having a dealership look at it but I am hesitant because I am currently getting 18-19 mpg in the city and upwards of 20 on the highway and I do not want to do n e thing to jepordize that... I have asked a few ppl about it who do alot of bombing on 3rd gens and they all said it was pretty well normal for the 04. 5 and 05 engines... Something to do with the timing I believe... .

Moose

Moose, it does not sound like an exhaust rattle... It is definatly coming from right in front of me. It was doing this before I bombed it and also with the various boxes and setting that I have had on the truck. The sound has always been constant pinging/rattling from 2000-2400 rpm. it has not changed in intensity or severity one bit. It may in fact be normal, if so cool.

My truck is at the dealer until Monday, they have to get the valve body from Los Angeles... When they get that done they are going to diagnose the rattle.

I will post what they find if anything...

Cheers

So far Integrity has been cool. It is the first time I have had service work done on a truck in 5 years, so we shall see.

I will be better able to answer that question on Monday. .

Desert Dodge on Sahara worked on my 01 steering problems and never said a word about the obvious bombs that were on that truck... Covered everything under warranty.

Tom Saitta owns Integrity and he has always been cool.

Update and dealer thumbs up!

bill, have you gotten good service from integrity?kinda scared to take it to the other two places here in henderson.

Got the call today, truck was ready... Yesterday when I called, service writer said tech had called tech ops in DTW for an answer to an electrical problem... Hmm he said it had to do with an ECC or something like that... It wasn't ECM, so I didn't key on that. Anyway, they replaced the trans valve body, fluid and filter. As far as the 2000-2500 engine knock, he said that there was something funky going on with the aforementioned ECC that combined with my aftermarket turbo and intake may have caused some carboning up... Hmm. . Okay, aftermarket stuff maybe contributing, but again another honest assessment from this dealer. All I know is that the truck has lost the knock now... :D They also told me to drive the truck harder as they only showed it being driven between 10 and 20 percent load! :--)

The lumbar not staying in position requires a new system that is on national back order. They will call me when it comes in.

The truck still has a P 2607 intake low diagnostic come up... Doesn't seem to hurt anything... .

I will be putting the TST back on tomorrow :-laf

All in all, I am very happy with the service from Integrity Dodge here in LAS. .

Everything was covered under warranty, no charge!

If you take your truck there, ask for Steve in service.

Cheers, Bill

It's always good to hear happy dealer stories. Mine has been good as well... . with everything except the purchase price
