I wired the map sensor like it says. hooked up everything, and nothing? I have the red power light and a faint yellow light for boost, when I drive the boost light on the remote does not come on and it never fuels. the box is under the hood so I dont know if the boost light is coming on.

when I turn the key on the lights on the remote come on then off. I rechecked my pump tap and retapped it with the tst grabber deal. it should have a good connection. even if it diddnt the boost light should come on right?

I'd highly recommend that you visit the troubleshooting section on TST's web site You'll be able to check for correct voltages etc from this site.

Good luck

I just checked it again, I retapped the pump again and now I get the boost and fuel light. I just went around my block and it doesnt feel like a lot but I have to drive it some more.

does anyone have a tst only? just going around the block power did not feel very impressive. I havent driven down the street though

yeah yeah I know. Ill tell you, I really loved the smarty with the comp. With the smarty the stock trans was screaming. Ill probably buy another one once I build a trans

I just retapped th epump AGAIN after haing more problems, now there is no way there is a bad connection, I even cut back some insulation and installed a t-tap. the boost light on the remote never changes but is allways on, the fuel light comes on randomly when it wants at part throttle, then goes off, when its on I cant tell any difference. when i got home today I was watching it and at idle the fuel light was slowly randomly blinking.

Kinda. The TST really only kicks in farther into the throttle.

I have a Smarty and the 60hp TST. Works great.

if the light comes on for fuel it goes off when i step on it. from looking at the wiring it looks like I might have the map wired backwards.

just checked the map wiring, switched it and the boost light doesnt come on and the check engine light comes on. so I guess it was pinned right. Im going to recheck the connections and try to somder the pump tap in,.

Dare I suggest calling Mark Chapple at TST and just talking to him? I haven't needed their tech support, but other posts on the TDR seem to indicate it's top notch.

well I went through thte troubleshooting and finally got it figured out. turns out 4 times isnt enough to tap the pump :-laf 5th times a charm!

All you had to do was call me and I wouldve told ya it was the pump wire :D that box is very finicky on how its hooked up, mine does the same thing with the ignition, when you turn the key it comes on, goes off then comes back on, I think it only does it when its hooked the spot TST says hook it to :) you need timing, get a Van aaken or EZ and hang on :)

I actually cant find your number, I want to find a van aaken pretty soon to get the bottom end, I dont want to kill th enice new mopar reman that just got put in. :-laf

I finally got to drive on this thing, man its awesome. my stock trans hates me, or maybe just number 9

I think my turbo has a little hatred too, 37psi hy35. it actually seems to keep the egt somewhat in check. but man if you dont ease off it sounds like its gonna blow

I didn't forget to mention it was a comp box, did I? Stay off #9! :-laf

well I just drove down the highway for the first time. figured I would see what #9 did to my egt gauge, well I found a hill started at about 70mph (1900) 800F egt got in it good for about 2 seconds to maybe 2200 rpm and the egt gauge was cranking right around, it was coming past 1200 and I let off, boy its hard to not surge it even easing off, but my god does it pull

Yes, yes, lots of fuel = lots of EGT's :)

If you'd stayed in it a bit longer, you would have buried the pyrometer past 1600F... remember, though, quick transients won't kill you, just high sustained EGT's over 1300F.

Time for a bigger turbo.
