I just installed a tst r37 on a 04. 5 auto truck, he drove it for about a week and now it has a check engine light for the crank sensor, its running rough which I would suspect would happen if it isn't reading the crank angle right, its the updated module that was bought strait from tst's website, also have 2 other trucks running the r49 and they get the crank and cams codes, ones a 04. 5 6-speed and a 03 6-speed, this kinda pisses me off that you spend $600+ on a chip and it throws lights all the time.

oh I made sure all the connections were good on one of the trucks tst sent out a brand new harness and box and it still throws codes, i think it will be an adrenaline, and then smarty if they stack, waiting to see how they stack on the second gens.
 
TST's are bad for throwing cam and crank codes, but that is not u're problem. I've had 3 TST's in last 4 months go bad. Changed inj. harness and all was well. Try changing harness with a good running truck and see if it fixes it. Also it could be FCA, injectors, or several other things.

OH yah, one more thing, still need to buy a Smarty. New REVO program is awesome, Marco says in a couple of months he's gonna have ice cubes coming out of the exhaust, lol.
 
i had tst chips on my 01,02,an 04 dodge an had problems on all three trucks. 04 truck had rough idle an would smoke at random times real bad!!! so i will never put tst on my truck again. the power output on the tst is great but i had to many problems!!! that is my imput on tst
 
TST r37 has been on my 05 since new and ocassionally I will get a miss at low rpms and it will throw a 336 cps code. Usually about once or twice a year/20k. Still love my TST though and hope they can get it figured out.
 
Spoke with Mark late last week and he said they did have some errors in the software and they were corrected on april 4 or 14. So he does have new software available. He has mine!!

I wish my TST only missed at low rpms one or twice a year!! Mine is more like once or twice a week. Check the oil, fill it with fuel, clear codes, repeat. Got a Smarty last week and pretty sure the TST will be a paper weight, unless I get it updated asap. I hope it will help!!
 
Same issues as above, have you guys sent them in? I was just wandering on turn-around times and I guess you have to buy a bypass connector. Is there a easy way to clear all these codes mine come once a week p336 p237. I called the tech support one time and it took them 3 days to return the call.
 
yeah I have emailed them many times no response. I have looked on their site just last week and couldn't find anything new, I'm gonna let the customers deal with tst. And, if that doesn't get anywhere I'm gonna call them myself.



As far as clearing the codes, you can't clear them without a scanner or programmer that can clear codes, the light will go off when it see 3 trips without the problem, but there still will be a code in the ecm just no light on.
