Anyone running SPS62/S400 twins on a 2nd gen?

3rd Gen Downpipe 4" turbo out to 5" down

I'm thinking about getting the TST. I don't want or need a cool down timer as I already have one. I don't need the digital guages either. I want the power... :D

My question is, I hear there is a new version of the TST that has a timing control feature. Is this true and how exactly does it work? Is it user adjustable or the ability to be turned off?

Thanks

btw- I've read tons of info on this but can't find a definitive answer...

The new timing feature is available on the units with the gauges on the remote. It's an additional screen that will allow you to limit the amount of additional timing. You can effectively turn your TST into a duration-only box, and let your downloader (or other device) control the timing.

You can get a new TST with this feature, or you can have your current unit re-flashed for $50.

I would suggest you get the remote with gauges. The EGT based defueling is a very nice feature. I know I don't have the time to look at my gauges when I'm racing someone. When the truck backs off, I know I'm at 1400°. If my truck didn't have that feature, I'm sure I wouldn't back off. It's just not in my nature.

hi guys im new here. i have a question about the 2003 tst's. i was wondering if they have any upgrade features such as cool down, etc.

Welcome to TDR!

An answer to your question:

All TST PMCR boxes are the same. The variable is the style of remote that you have coupled with the correct programming.

If you have a TST, it can be upgraded to the newer R49 remote with all the features. I did this with mine. I've sent mine in twice for software re-flashes, and I'll also be sending it in for the next software upgrade, whenever it becomes available.

You can't go wrong with a TST!
