anyone know the max psi reading of the built-in boost gauge on TST R-49 modules? I thought it was 40psi but can't find where I read that. I have one of these SPS62's on the way and know I'll be over the 40psi mark. I want to be able to monitor my boost readings accurately. I know the reading is pulled from the Map sensor so maybe that's the issue. Is there a way to pull a boost reading else where still using the TST for the boost gauge? Wondering if I will be better off in the long haul to get a manual boost gauge and pulling a reading from the intake manifold.

thanks all,

Ken

Better get some real gauges...

I had my TST boost backdown set on 39 psi, thinking I was safe. However, after the addition of a SPS66 and several other mods, I finally got a set of DiPricol gauges installed. Imagine my surprise when I got into the pedal and the boost gauge jumped to 58 psi before I could even blink!!! Gauges should have been the first mod for me... and I'd recommend it to others as well. I know spending money on them isn't as fun as other things that are out there, but gauges are the right place to start IMHO... Hope this helps! --Eric

I have ISSPRO's gauges and the TST R49 and the TST is right on with the gauge readings, but you would be better off with the manual boost gauge.....

The TST boost reading is from the MAP sensor. That will limit the valid readings to about 40psi. This is stated in the TST installation manual. If you have performance mods then you should have an analog boost gauge to know the actual boost.
