I want to upgrade the stock turbo badly. I can barely make a run to 60 w/o my TST box defueling (set at 1250 though).

Anyway I'm torn between what kind of setup to get.

I'm mainly leaning towards, the phat shaft 66 due to the rave reviews so far, the arctic air twins, although some don't think the non wastegate design is good, or the Kendricks twins.

The kendricks twins look like the best option but of course they are the most expensive, not to mention I've never seen a good picture of a production set and the little odds and ends.

Anyway I'd like to go w/ the SPS66 as it's not too expensive and it seems like it should work with my pacbrake from what I'm reading, and it's a drop in.

Does anyone know if the kendricks twin kit will work w/ the KORE shock towers?

Just looking for suggestions and opinions.

truck is an 03 HO 4x4 kore kit w/ 315's and 3. 73's. TST PMCR, AFE, MBRP 4", ATS vb, converter, and commander. 95GPH Fass standalone will be here next week.

I think the first thing you should do is find a local diesel owner with twins and one with a 66mm turbo... I can tell you I love my Htt Sledpuller66, But until you see and feel one, it is hard to describe, just like the IISPS66 turbo...

Heck I have never even rode in a twins truck, cause I will know I will want them

Keep in mind www.powerbypoole.com make a twins set too...

So many options, so little time - You might call Mark@TST and ask him...

Are you kidding me? 1250? haha, turn that thing up to 1400-1500. 10 second bursts of 1400-1600 won't kill you, its the long pulls that kill ya.

HA! My dyno run with my stock turbo and the TST/EZ stack hit 1792...

But it was back to 900 with 2 seconds

My guess is your going to put some miles on it prior to doing this!

Jim

Call me paranoid, but SCREW THAT! I don't want to turn up the limiter at all, I'm not comfortable with it.

As it is it gets up to 1350 even with the limiter on.

I got a SP66 cause I grenaded the stock turbo. I went with a SP 66 cause I couldn't afford twins and they said it would handle the power. At first I was very happy with it. The top end felt like a rocket launcer, but after about 15,000 miles the shaft is getting a little wobblely. Twins will handle the power and keep your egts down. I've never tried twins or rode in a truck with twins, but I think Kendrick has the best system for the money. Twins will save you money in the long run after you have gone through a couple singles.

The wobbly shaft thing is normal for schwitzer turbos.

the turbo bearings are just like the bearings on the crank, the shaft rides on an oil film when running. it will feel a little loose when off.
