All,

The group rate this year is $59. 00 plus tax for single occupancy and $63. 00 plus tax for double occupancy. The normal rate is $74. 00 plus tax so its a savings of approx $11. 00 best I could swing. This place has an awesome breakfast bar to by the way

:D

When you call to book a reservation, tell them you are with the October Showdown to score the group rate.

Ok, this is coming up soon. I've marked off the days on my calender and will probably grab one of the teenage nephews for a bit of fun.

This will be my first time at any type of truck event. Other than the monster truck pulls taking place in the midwest I see on TV, I have no idea of what to expect. From what I gather, it sounds like a car show. Track events, vendors hawking products/services, lots of vehicles to look at, with the added bonus of being able to camp. How close am I?

Who am I going to look for since I don't know anyone?

It's been a rough month and I'm really looking forward to an enjoyable weekend!

p. s. I'm heading from Mountain View/Pacifica probably Fri afternoon. Anybody going south on 5 around that time?

Tpuig, you are dead on. Lotsa trucks and lotsa fun. Look for us at the Diesel-central trailer in the parking lot.

Fueler, one year they had a dyno about 20 miles away set up, but I don't think that's going to happen this year.

BPINE, Jay and I usually hook up at the Santa Nella fuel station at I-5 and 152. Blair lives in San Jose and normally leaves around that time on Friday. From there we all caravan to Tulare yaken on the CB's all the way. Once we get there we park our RV's in a big circle so to keep the natives out :). There is one event that you guys left out. BPINE's famous gas blended margaritas! :D :D :D Oo. Oo. Oo. Oh ya, lets not forget about the 2:00am dual stack exhaust installation :--)

Frozen lomonaid is what I use, yes all it took was a turn of the old screw driver to tune the blender back to perfection. :D Maybe I will clean the spark plug to but that just seems like to much work. LOL
