Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Tuners with injectors

I've just ordered my EDM 1. 5 injectors through Rip. Now i'm looking for the right tuner. Rip has offered me a great deal on a used Edge-EZ. Does any one out there have any personal experience with this combination?

There is not much to "tune". You can move the jumper setting on the EZ to suit your off boost throttle response and smoke.



BTW, I noticed you still have a stock clutch. You will be needing a new one to hold your new found power.

I just put a set of DD2's in and have a edge comp but haven't tapped the wire (so it is the same as the ez). DD2's are rated the same as edm 1. 5 but have heard that the edms run better. I'm not sure about what DF said on the clutch, I just put the injectors in last night but the stock clutch hasn't slipped yet. I've heard people say that the stock will hold for a while but will eventually start slipping. Doesn't matter when it goes for me, I have a SB con ofe sitting in the living room floor for when I need it! Will run stock till it slips.



So far I like the combination. Haven't pulled with this set up yet but could only get to 1275 on the pyro with completly stock exhaust and drop in K+N air filter. Will eventually put 4" exhaust and scotty air in before I tap the wire on the comp.

I like my Edge Comp box. But every one likes what they have.

The e-z box is good if you plan on one setting and don't want --FUN-!!!.

TST , EDGE, and others make good boxes. You most likely will want an adjustable box sooner than you think.

I bet you picked some good injectors.

That's sure a thought that has crossed my mind Fox. I am a little leary of advancing the timing very much. I could use the EZ as a starter box . At the price I've been offered, I could probably get that back out if I wanted to trade up latter.

Edge has seems to be the of choice of a lot of people and seems to be liked by a lot, but I have the Superchip tuner and I'm going to call them on mon to find out more details on adding other mods like injectors and stuff I'll keep every informed on the out come. DH

I've got BD III's and a stock clutch, and a boost fooler. My clutch is holding fine, and I love the extra milage, and power the injs. gave me. My dad said that he loved what I did to his truck even if he didn't know exactly what it was I would have loved to go to an Edge, but a bst fooler was all that I could afford. My dad pays for half of the truck and I pay for the other half and all accesories(BOMB's). College sucks, all your money away James
