I have a wierd turbo bark only when towing my trailer (approx 10000lbs). I can be pulling a hill, approx 35 psi - 40 psi boost, 4th gear locked up, slight flutter in the boost guage, then a sudden bark ( 0psi on guage), then recovered immediately, good for another 15-20 seconds, then did it again. Not the best noise to hear, freaked the wife right out!!!!! Any ideas??? TIA

And you didn't let off the gas or anything to initiate it? Mine will do it when towing up a hill when it shifts into overdrive (which drops the RPM's suddenly) or if I let off the gas too fast.

The correct term is surge. Caused when you get too close to the edge of the map of your turbo. It will be worse at higher elevations and lower rpm. Keep your rpm up and you'll have better luck.
