I have 97 2500 5spd dual 5in stacks, no silencer ring, tst #100 plate, 3k gsk, boost and egt gauges south bend clutch. today my brother was driving my truck and the turbo blew up. i need to know what my options are as far as getting a new turbo or rebuilding my old one. id eventually like to get injectors, nothing to crazy. I want to find the smartest option as far as a new or rebuilt turbo goes. any input would be outstanding thanks! :(

How long can you wait? Ive got my HY 35 Ill be pulling off for the hx 40 as soon as I get my HTT manifold. (2 weeks?)

I would look at High Tech Turbo's HTB2 series turbo's. You will be find something to suit your needs. I have the Killer B2 64/14WG'd.

There are several good choices as far as turbos for your truck..... Since you are talking about larger injectors and you have already installed a plate it would be a good time to upgrade your turbo. Since you are not talking about going wild something along the lines of a Phat Shaft 62 or an HTB2 would work great.

I have almost the same truck, only a 3500. I went with the Super B from BD power and so far it is really working out great for me. Keeps me a good 100-200 degrees cooler when towing my 5'ver. If you are considering a low cost replacement, I have my stocker sitting on a shelf in the shed and could work a deal with you. Good luck.
