Turbo Boost with Elbow??

Just received a PE Edge EZ and will install it soon. I did some searching, but didn't really find the answer I am looking for.



How much boost should I expect with EZ and the boost elbow installed. I see 20 psi max under load now and am curious as to what the boost elbow will generate? Additionally, what change in EGT's will I see with these installed while pulling the 5er? Other than straight exhaust and K&N, the truck is stock.

I went from 18psi to 28psi with the wastegate disabled. It will peak at 30psi then drop back to a steady 28psi. Also seeing a major drop in EGT with the extra boost. Does not feel like the extra boost added any power over just the EZ.

Stock:

22 PSIG max boost

1250-1300 degf max pre-turbo EGT



With EZ & elbow:

32 PSIG max boost

1050-1100 degf max pre-turbo EGT

Thanks for the replies. This is about what I thought it would be, but wanted to hear words of experience.



I was hoping with the increased fueling I would see a drop in EGT's with the boost elbow. Does anyone see a noticable change in fuel mileage?

We've seen a 10% improvement in fuel mileage when towing our 5ver.

I think your going to see different readings, depending on your truck setup (i. e. auto, manual, 5sp/6sp, eth/etc, and boost elbow mod vs. wastgate turnbuckle mod). On my stock ETC 5 spd, with an EZ and non-adjustable boost elbow, my boost went from around 18psi to a max of 25. Called EZ and they said this is about normal for my setup...
