The other day I ordered the PowerMaxCR and 4" SS MBRP exhaust... . From the searches I have done, I am going need a larger turbo and a better clutch. I have already picked out the clutch I will be getting, but I need to know which turbos are "on top" right now. From my understanding, the two best choices are the Super B, and the B1... . What are the differences in the two? Which one is better for the longevity of the truck? Do they come with warrantys? Do these turbos sing as loud as stock? Thanks for any and all information pertaining to upgrading turbos :D

I would have to agree with RWood. I bought a htb2 sp66 after my mods ate my stock turbo. It has a 14cm wastegated housing and so far it is holding up great and egts are a lot lower. It has a deeper wine than a stock turbo and sounds great. Kind of pricey though. I payed $1855 for mine. Doesn't spool as fast as stock but the top end is awesome. It has a higher horsepower rating than most singles, but if you got the money buy twins.

What does the GTB2 run on average (cost wise)

Take a look at their website or give them a call. they can help you find the right turbo for you. The hbt2 is upgradable to larger compression housings and wheels if later on you want more breathing room.

I have the Super "B" Turbo, it works, and at its price point you cannot beat it.

Trust me on that, it works so good, it helped in the shreading of my ATS Stage III transmission!

You'll be happy, I am.
