On a recent 1,000 mile express way trip I had the check engine light come on and the code was diagnosed as P2262 Turbo Boost. The diagnosis was that the turbo requires cleaning. On the last trip to the dealer the oxygen sensors were replaced. I have 27,000 miles on the truck and approximately 25% was towing a fifth wheel and 50% were long distance expressway driving. I use flying J fuel which is high quality and drive to maximize my fuel mileage. Averaged 21 mpg on this trip maintaining the maximum highway speed. Has anyone out there experienced the same problem?

Your mileage certainly is not a problem, that is the best I have heard of - what's your secret?

As far as O2 sensors and turbos, I'm sorry to say but join the club. There are various posts around here on both issues, but there are a lot of folks have seen the same issues. Here are some threads on turbo stuff:

I run Flying-J fuel which always gives me about 1 mpg more than other off brands. I believe their cetane rating is slightly higher than others. I use cruse usually set at 70 mph. When my wife drives she usually runs 65 and gets 1/2 mpg than me. I also watch the air in my tires and regulate them as needed.

Driving to maximize the fuel mileage does not make the vgt work much which I suspect will hasten the code sooner... ... ... ... ... .
