Turbo exhaust housing change

I have a stock 92 with that huge 21cm housing on there and Jannetty Racing has a 16cm housing for 175. 00, is this worth the money on changing it out? This factory turbo seems like it takes FOREVER to spool up, and with the price of diesel going up I dont believe I want to change the turbo altogether, but rather looking for some inexpensive things to do to help it, and this is cheaper than an aftermarket turbo, someone please let me know, thanks

HTT, PDR and some other online places sell them for ~$135-$150. Your best bet would be to find the closest vendor to buy one from so shipping won't kill you.

thanks I bought one from HTT, he said it would be a nice improvement over what I have now and for 150. 00.

I put a 14cm housing on mine, and it is light years better than the 21cm. I would think a 16 would also be good, everybody else seems to like them.

I put the 16 from htt on mine. It actually made the truck drivable.

I just sent my turbo off to go from the 18. 5 to the 16. While they have my turbo they are rebuilding and also doing a port and polish. I am looking forward to getting it back and seeing how it runs with the new parts.

My truck had a 12cm put on by previous owner. Touch the trottle and you hear that sweet sound of it spooling up. LOVE IT.

So I take it it the truck want be so sluggish, I can't wait, it runs good after about a 1/4 mile, takes that long to even hear a hint of that big 21 cm turbo to spool, LOL, thanks everyone for your input.

I like the 21cm. It just works well for me. I have tried the 16 and the 18 and the 21. The 21 is best by far.

TKingsbury said it best "Not with no fuel", my pump is advanced and the fuel screw about alll the way in, and I say the pumps REAL tired, because it acts like it isn't getting no fuel and it needs all the help it can get, rest of truck all stock down to the factory muffler and exhaust, so I hope this helps ALOT! LOL
