I took my truck to the dealer today and had the oil changed. While I was paying for the oil change the service technician stated that he notice my aFe magnum force air intake system. He warned me that Dodge has recently put out a notice stating that they will not warranty failure of turbos if the owner has a re-chargeable air filer. The service technician said the turbo sucks in the oil on the filter, causing build-up, and ultimately glazing the turbo fins. He said because of the build up, the turbo will become unbalanced and fail. Does this guy know what he is talking about?

WOW,another one of DC techs that going to take the express elevator right up to the presidency of the company, Ask him how he would account for the sot on the exhaust side of the turbo. Should you drill hole in the housing and spray carb cleaner on it, SO that way you could keep it balanced with the intake side.
