Competition 9.8x second run @137+!

Ok guys, Im lookin for a goos pullin turbo. Wanna stay in the "street" class or whatever the smaller class is. And Am trying to keep the truck streetable. Right now I have a JR Lil 55 on the truck. Its about to take a crap on me.

So im lookin for something different that good enough for pulling, yet still pretty durable. Want somethin thats gonna hold up.

I know the S300 and S400 are pretty good correct? And have heard some say the HX40 is good and run for 40 plus hooks, and other say they blow up after 2-3???

So help me out here guys. Would prefer something not too extreamly pricey, but ya gotta pay to play so.

Thanks, Travis

For what its worth... stay away from the hx40. I know that they are relatively reliable, but your taking a turbo thats designed to not go over 20 psi and pushing it to 38#. I cringe every time I push mine cause of the strories I've heard. A s300 based turbo is a great choice.

I would not run an S400, as your streetability would go right out the window. I know there are different variations of S400s but with the one I run, for example, it doesn't make boost till 3K RPM. Nothin but smoke and high EGTs in the cruising RPMs, but my sled puller is strictly just that, no more street excursions except to the local truck scale for weight checks. :)

Turbonetics has great sled pullers that are still streetable, pricey but very durable.
