2001 2500 4x4 Running Blue Chip Apb Box K&n Filter. Wanting To Add 60h. p. Injectors But Im Still Running Hy35. What Turbo Can I Go With To Keep Somewhat Near Hy Spool Up With More Top End Air. Cant Spend A Fortune. Thinking I Might Pick Up A Used Hx 35 Hybrid Or Hx40 ? Any Ideas Would Be Helpful. Thanks

I just talked to Shane at Industrial Injection yesterday and I am going to order the 62 that they have for sell. Said I shouldnt have a problem pulling with it if I keep the box turned down and it should spool as good or faster than my stock hy. I have 100hp injectors but 60 hp would mean it would just run a little cooler. Also thinking about putting the water/methanol injection on too, supposed to lowere EGTs 200 or more degrees.

We are installing a lot of the Phat Shaft turbos, the PS62 is a great turbo for almost all guys! This turbo's spoolup is exceptionally fast, lower egts, and better power. If I can answer any questions please feel free to phone.

A used HX 35 with a 12 cm housing would be the bargain way to go & I bet it would work for you. Stepping up a notch, the Dodgzilla is one heck of a good turbo for the price.

With A Hx35-12 Would I Get The Spool Up I Have With My Hy. Only Asking Because My Brother Has The Same Truck As Me But His Is A 5 Speed With No Power Up Grades And To Me Its Very Doggy On Bottom End, But Maybe With My Im Provements It Would Make The Hx Spool Up Faster.

I don't think there is much that spools faster than the HY 35 with it's 9 cm housing. You won't lose much with the HX 35-12, but you will lower drive pressure & egt's. A little port matching on the exhaust manifold & turbine housing also helps with spool up. I did mine with an inexpensive Dremel tool.
