Please educate me on turbo housing sizes? is bigger better?

I am running a #11 plate at the stock position and am going to install 330 injectors. I pull 2100lbs and will upgrade turo to a hyred H35 but must keep exhaust brake. THANKS

bigger isn't necessarily better... bigger means lower peak EGT's and a slower climb to peak EGT's... can also mean a little better highway mileage. but, the turbo won't spool up as quickly.

BUT, more fuel helps to spool up the turbo! :D

Well, not sure what your asking here. Do you want to upgrade the compressor to an HX-40 or do you want to upgrade the turbine housing to a 14cm or 16cm?? What are you running now?? I think you said you want run a "hybrid" HX-35 but your typos prevented me from answering.

Sorry I did not make my self clear.

My question is I think I can get enough fuel with the #11 plate and 330 injectors but am a little cocernrd about EGTs pulling long hills. I now see about 1000 deg. @2000 rpm and 20to 22 PSI in 4th gear. if I install the 330 injectors and maybe move the plate up a little I would like to make the same pull at around 2500 RPM. I am still using the stock turbo I do not know what is stock for a 97 215 HP nor what is best for towing with increased fueling.

Is a 14 or 16 CC exhaust housing going to increase air flow through the cylinders and help with the EGTs I assume the H35 turb from Piers will keep the boost in the proper range.

See my sig below. I run a nonwastegated 16cm housing and EGTs are not a problem towing a 6500lbTT even on high mountain passes its not bad but I have to keep an eye on it if I am running 70mph up the mtn. Otherwise it works well with the PDR-35 turbo.
