I just purchased a Diesel Turbo Life Saver from Geno's. The instructions are lacking. How do I get the factory alarm to work? Is there another wire I need to connect? I sat inside the cab, locked the doors with the saver engaged until the engine shut off, then opened the door. I thought that the alarm would activate but it didn't.

Thanks for any response.

I had the same question and got no answers here. Unfortunately from what i can tell, the alarm will not arm untill the truck shuts off. The doors lock, but the alarm does not arm. Kind of sucks, cause i usually end up waiting for the thing to die so i can arm the alarm. Kind of defeats the purpose of the timer. If i wanted to wait around, i wouldn't have installed the thing:rolleyes: but seriously, i like it most for the kill switch feature.

I am not 100% certain, but I think the folks that designed the Turbo Life Saver can work around this. A call to Geno's should be able to put you in touch with them. If not I can dig up their number.

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks guys.

I called Geno's. They didn't know, but gave me the number to the manufacturer. A call to them set me straight. I ordered a $5 relay that will solve the issue. They do not come with the Turbo Saver because, as they put it, "not all trucks come with alarms. "

I will let you know how it works.

You probably spoke with Joel over there. He is very helpful and good to work with. Did he provide you with some install instructions? If so, could you share them with us?

Not yet rubberneck! I have the parts, but the installation seems complicated. I have been tooooo busy to attempt it. Thanks for the response. I will call the company for help in the next week.

SEEEEEEE YA!
