turbo life saver question

Installed my turbo diesel life saver from geno's last week, and have come up with a question. I have noticed that if i set the timer and get out that the factory alarm does not arm when i hit the keyless lock button. The doors lock, but no alarm. Once truck shuts down the alarm arms as normal. I know there are outputs on the TDLS for interfacing with aftermarket alarms, is there a way to interface with the factory system?? I guess it is no big deal, but it would be nice to set the thing and walk away without worrying about the alarm not being on. TIA

I occasionally leave my engine running with exhaust brake engaged to avoid waiting for cool down, then shutting it down, and restarting on my return if I'm running to the rest room. I use the key chain remote to lock the doors as I walk away. The horn doesn't sound when I lock the doors with the engine running.



I don't know the thinking behind this programming but I think it is the way the truck's electronics were designed and not related to your turbo saver accessory.

But if you must know. The air compressor should be here next week and the air horns and ?? well that's all im gonna say right now Ever since i put the drag comp on Iv'e been drooling over mentals. It's takes everything i have not to have them ordered.

When the truck is running, the alarm doesn't sound when locking the doors with the remote. Also, you can't lock the doors while the truck is running, by using the door lock button.

I carry a second remote to do this.
