Turbo Matrix

I have an idea to submit:



I think it would be great if TDR had a "Turbo Matrix" for members to use that would help them make selections for their particular application.

Data in the Matrix would be submitted by the manufactures to TDR.



Something like this:

Members would find a chart of current turbos. And this is just an example now but. . Across the top of the chart would be these titles:

• CFM
  
• Max Safe Psi
  
• Wastegate
  
• Spool Factor
  

Along down the left side the turbo make & model

Now for the slick part- A member clicks on a title and the list resorts itself to show how the turbos compare for the searched title.



Any web savvy person should be able to configure the chart, TDR would have to update it but once its done it shouldn't be much maintenance.



Sure the chart wouldn't be THE final word but for the average enthusiast it would be a big help and TDR would have folks all over the web linking to it.



The first 3 titles are basic manufacture specs with wastegate being a Yes or No and the spool factor could be a simple 1-4 numbering system based on factory equipped turbos:



1= HY35

2= HX35

3= HX40

4= Slower



The manufacture when submitting the turbo would take the responsibility to rate spool them selves based on OE turbos.



Neat idea or not?
