turbo noise!

2005 5. 9 auto. stock. when my turbo spools up I hear a loud sucking air noise. I cant even hear the turbo whine anymore. any ideas! truck still runs fine. plenty of power.

Have you checked your intercooler boots??? Also the 2005 cummins had the plastic intercooler that is prone to crack check that... . Do you have guages?? What is your boost like??
