I have a 99 2500 215 auto,

The turbo makes a slight ringing noise while truck is idling,

like "eeeeee" not really loud, just enough to notice.

Power is great with this engine, and when the turbo is on the

road it sounds great (nice whistle), not suffocated like some sound. Silencer ring is still present.

Im probably worried about nothing.

I was thinking of re-torquing some bolts incase of air leak.

All of my intake hoses are tight.

Wanting to know torque specifications (or where they are listed)for the following:

1. Exhaust manifold bolts

2. Turbo securing nuts, and turbo oil line nut.

Any advice?

Thanks. . in advance

I'm at work now don't have my shop manual with me. If I remember right the exhaust man. bolts are 40lbs(but I could be wrong). But somebody will reply to this and give you the specs. Over on Dave Fritzs site he probably has the specs.

The torque-spec for manifold bolts is32ftpnds but most are going to 40 like was just said. It's youre choice but at 32 they have been known to fall out, mine included. :( If you look back in the old issues of the TDR there is a tsb on the 99 for turbo noise.
