Yet another small issue... .

My Turbo Oil Return Tube is leaking since I installed my latest HX#5 on the truck 2 months ago. The tube has been instected and has no cracks. I've now installed 2 different gaskets at the turbo/tube flange. No amount of 'clocking' or adjusting the turbo has helped.

The Pressure line looks dry... .

Can the oil be coming from the center section of the turbo? Bottom?

As always I won't be much help, but, you using Cummins gaskets? I use and like Cummins part number 3937706. It doesn't leak like the aftermarket freebie gaskets that come with turbo puchases. I don't care for the Schwitzer turbo drain gaskets either- leakers. You need to clean off both contact surfaces of any old gasket material. I little brake cleaner and mirror will pinpoint the leak. If that don't help, you might try two gaskets. I don't know anymore than that.

Did you check the gasket surface of the tube end for flatness? I seem to remember running a file across mine to flatten it out a bit. And resist the urge to gorilla tighten it.

Travis. .

Yep! Using Cummins supplied blue gaskets from the Cummins shop. Never had a leak until I installed this particular HX35.

Starting to get on my nevers a bit!
