D1 -Housing is a an end-user tweak. "Tuned" implies balancing and other turbo guru secret stuff.



WC- Tell me more about your turbo. V=variable?



If you want to "Class" it, put it in the one that it's most similar to. You should know what is bigger and what is smaller.



I might do a tally thread and enumerate and list ALL the "others" after we get 500 votes. :cool:



That assumes that the "other" voters come here and 'splain their charger. ;)

Which would be a better twins combo:



PDR HX-40/HT3B



or



B1/B2



Would either flow enough to run extremely large injectors? (EDM, or stage 7+),



Which would spool better?



Don't have twins yet, but I'd like to see what people like best... so I can make the right decision down the line... a poll perhaps?

a KS-B1B/b2 would spool better. A B1/B2 would be a little slower than the PDR40-HT3b.



The HX35 is better matched to the HT3B but will yield a little less overall hp but have much better driveablility than an HX40. the 35-ht3b would spool a lot better and provide plenty of air to 600hp(12cm) or 700hp(18cm).



The hx40-ht3b are gona be about 5-10% better given similar exhaust housings(~700 for a 16cm 40).



The B1-B2 should be in their own to around 750hp maybe a bit more. The B1 flows better than a 40 and the B2 is better matched to it than a 40 is to the HT3B.



ON EDIT: I think that ~700hp is the limit of the BHT3B not necessarily the turbo paired with it.



The B1-'BigBrother' is a 800+hp moster setup that is phenomenal(some rough pics... . http://www.texasdieselworks.com/twinspics/B1_bigbrother/)

What sucks is we aren't suppose to talk price on here but I am sure this make a difference in the choice. Otherwise we would all be pumping twins or triples for that matter. Hey Mark, have any pics of that Triple ballbearing thumper series with individual intercoolers?

I have run a 40/3B and I am presently running a 40/B2. With either combo a set of rather large EDM's (specifically DonM's Mach 5's) will clean up around 50-55psi. I still get upwards of 75psi though. Although I dont have any problems spooling my setup on the street I think Mark is correct that a 35 on top would be better for most people. The additional lag of the 40 will amount to pretty good smoke under heavy acceleration.

PDR modified HX-35 with 16 non-waste gated exhaust housing. Just got it put on and have not checked total boost yet. Sure comes up a lot faster than the old stock turbo did.

P. S. BATMAN your twins look awesome. I saw them while I was at Mark's shop. The triples look better every time I see them. And Mark's truck is running better than ever.

Mark and I went for a ride and on the 4-5 shift we got sideways enough that Mark even decided to back out of it a little.

B1KS, Pius-built Schwitzer, --something like that. Found a used B1.



Really want something just a FUZZ larger than the 40. Want a bigger shaft and I'd rather be in the mid-range of turbo's performance level than the upper end--which everyone says 475HP is for a 40.



Question. Will DD3's and UFM spool a B1 standard housing?
 
If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me, but we can post what we paid for something or what something costs at x place.

What we can't do if we are a retailer is post our prices.



Am I wrong?
