Turbo question?

We had a late 07 6. 7 3500 towed to our shop today with a bad turbo. I have a guy that has a 09 6. 7 turbo he removed to install a bigger one. My question is will the 09 turbo fit the 07?

Well I just compared the two and they are definatly different. Anyone have one for a 07 6. 7 for sale?

are you sure the 07 is a 6. 7 n not a 5. 9 the turbo on the 6. 7 are all the same ?????

FYI--from the factory, ALL 6. 7 CTD motors came with the same HE351 VE vgt turbo.



If his 07 Ram is definitely a 6. 7, and not a 0 5. 9 CTD, then he, or the person he bought his truck from, put a different turbo on it. Or maybe the 09 has an aftermarket turbo?



Got pics of the turbo from the 07?? ... I'll bet that someone here could quickly identify it!!

Well I had them both on the bench and they were very different. The bolt pattern where they bolt up was a different size, air pipe hook up was in a different location. I know the o7 6. 7 was a factory one. the otherone was suppose to be a 15K mile take off when the guy went to a bigger one? I should have taken a picture but i didn't think of it at the time. We just ordered a new one from the dealer.
