More Power

Fass Fuel System

I am looking for a good setup for my '02 6-sp in a Dodgezilla turbo but the options have me a bit undecided. My power is at about 385+ and am hoping to upgrade the 275's to a set of 80 to 100hp injectors in the future. Maybe 425hp total.

1. Benefits of a wastegated over a non wastgated?

2. Turbine housing, the benifits of a 14cmw to a 12cmw flow wise spoolup is obvious to me, and which one in a non wastgated?

3. Does my 12cmw housing just transfer to the new compressor if I go with a 12 instead of a 14?

4. Is there a exhaust housing size opption to 4"?

Thanks so much, Jared

Wastegated you can adjust total boost, non wastegated you can't

you can get a 12 or 14 wastegated housing

It would fit but wastegate actuator won't bolt up you need housing off a 99 or older turbo

The outlet on the turbo itself is 3. 5. Banks makes a adapter

Thanks so much, Jared

Thank you, I believe you would enjoy this turbo, but don't take my word for it ask around. I would be leery of people who have never tested one telling you it isn't what you want.

I'm surprised to hear that... I see 1500* at ~105mph from a 70mph roll in 5th.

There are over 35 compressor wheel and housing combos for the Hx40,and the one that comes with the highest flowing combo is not a popular number.

Thanks

Tim

I have this turbo and it handles everything thats in my signature. I have never seen my gauge past 1200. Maybe i don't push my truck as hard as some people but it does a great job for me.

I know, and that's why we searched long and hard to find a 60mm 6 blade compressor wheel... there's only one turbine wheel to my knowledge.

There sure is allot of squawk about this turbo yet no one has posted and before and after numbers, spool up time comparisons ect. I mean dyno one turbo then dyno another on the same truck... . what 1 hour apart!

I remember the very subject coming up 2 years ago about another single.

ok 268 without it about 3 hours later 291 with it. Spool up is as fast as the stock Hx35. This was at the Nashville Dyno days. Egt's were 150-200 degrees less with the Dodgezilla on dyno.

The Dodgezilla uses an upgraded HX-35 turbine housing, allowing you flow more air while avoiding the cost of a expensive downpipe and the weaker shaft of the HX40.

Enlighten me here for my lack of knowledge but I thought the 35 and 40 both had the same size shafts 7mm, if I'm wrong then the statement should say " the weaker shafts of the 35 and 40's" might help the customers more.

Jim,

I have been wondering this exact same thing myself.

I guess in theory Forrest's comment make sense.

just installed another zilla this morning, this one we powdercoated the compressor housing silver metallic

and we kept a true 4" downpipe from the HX40 that was removed

its a sweet install and the customer is pleased :)

I'm believe you are correct on that about the 60 wheel you have and that is also true for the 61 wheel the Dodgezilla comes with.
