Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) turbo questions

Ive got to take my turbo off this weekend and am wondering if I can reuse the gasket between it and the manifold?? Also kinda looks likae a b$#ch of a job any advise?? I ve got to replace my wastegate and Ive heard its hard to replace the wastegate arm back onto the housing. The bolts at the bottom of the turbo housing look tricky to get too. Anyone want to come over this weekend Ill buy beer and you can sleep at my joint..... free food..... any takers... ... Ill cook I wont make you eat my wifes cooking... . anybody

it makes it easier if you have an offset 15mm wrench. I would replace the gasket. just be sure to soak it down with penetrating oil a day or 2 in advance. and disconect the oil return line at the block.



The job is easier if you have small hands.

How far r u from cincinnati. I live in NKY about 20-30min from cincy. Might know someone that wants to help
