I'm getting ready to buy a turbo for the 06. I want to get to 450 to 500 hp with the Smarty, maybe injectors. No racing, pulling, occasional light towing. I want crazy spool and good mileage/drivability. I had settled on a HTT 62/12 with the smaller turbine wheel. The article in the last TDR magazine had good things to say about Tom at Turbo Re-Source. So I emailed him and he said he's got a good turbo for my needs. But it is about as much more in price as an exhaust manifold (whick I plan to do also). I don't doubt Tom's turbo is a great product and you get what you pay for. But is it superior enough to justify the cost over an already good HTT product? I can't find any info on the performance of the RE-Source turbos here so I'll ask the wisdom of the TDR for advise. Thanks in advance.

I did see the article on Re-Source and it seemed very intriguing. While I don't have a brand new turbo from HTT, I sent my stock one there for an upgrade and am VERY happy with them. They are great people to deal with and they did a great job upgrading my turbo. It was like brand new when it got here and performs as expected. Good equipment and great company.

Im running a htt 62/14 very happy with it cools nice no lag I ran a htt ss62/13 for about 15k kept blowing turbo gaskets RIP replaced it with the 62/14 glad I have the bigger turbo Randy
