turbo ring

I have read about owners removing the turbo charger ring. I know its there to make the unit more quiet and removing it will make it louder with no change in power. Ok so I want to make it louder. How do you guys get that thing out of there? I see no holes for a snap
ring plier. What kind of tool is used so that
the aluminum housing is not damaged or scratched ?

I got mine out with a VERY small screwdriver. Like a jewelers screwdriver. I got under the ring and pryed it up & out. There is enough play in the snap ring groove to get under the ring. Try to get the end of the ring. Rotate it out of the housing when you get the end out of the slot. You'll see what I mean. Be carefull not to hit the turbo vanes. Also the silencer ring & snap ring will be sharp. Don't get cut.
