After having a superchip on my 01 for a lil over a year i fianally bought a comp box. I bought it some what premature, but i have a dtt on the way. I know my 9 cm housing will be way too small for the comp box. I have been looking at a PDR HX 40/16, as well as 4" exhaust. Is there better turbos for the money, or is the hx 40 a good buy. Also, can i run my superchip and comp box together, like not all the time, just for showing off or whatever. :-laf As usual, input is always loved!!!! Thanx

I've got the PDR-40 and all I can tell you is that I love it. However, I can only compare it to the stock turbo, so really any upgrade would be a marked improvement. The reason I went with the PDR turbo is because of its reputation for longevity. There are some turbos out there (not to name any in particular) that will virtually blow up given the wrong conditions.

My best advice would be to get with some local members and have them take you for a test drive

Well if you are not going crazy on injectors, put a spring and turnbuckle on the HY and set it for 28 lbs or so. You going to hook up the injector pump wire? SNOKING

My EZ should be underhood by Wednesday courtesy of fellow member KYLE4, good dude good prices! http://www.extremedieselperformance.net/ Although I won't be running the Comp or tapping the VP, I share the same concern about stacking on top of the Superchips 3705 Programming, on the Performance setting. The CAN-BUS protocol is used to communicate between the ECM and the VP-44. We are using a reflashed ECM which many here already do with no problems. I'll know next week. Pyro and Boost gauges have just been added to my post-Christmas wish list. Happy Holidays to All!!! :D

You do not want to use a hy35 with a edge comp that 9cm housing will create 30lbs of boost but you will not have the air volume you need to control egt's trust me I have personal expeirience with this turbo they are good for stock trucks and shelve display. Check out BD powers super B it spools up quickly like a hy35 but has the air volume of a hx 40 supports 450hp and can easily be upgraded to the twin setup they offer. Augie thank you for spreading the good word I went ahead shipped your ez 3 day air instead of ups ground I'm sure your already waiting for it Merry Christmas talk to you Later
