Was just looking at my air filter and decided to check the snap ring for the silencer and noticed when I moved the turbo shaft up and down there was movement. Is this normal? I Have worked on larger engines with turbos and not seen any movement unless the bearings were starting to go... ... This is stock turbo with 6,000 miles on it... ... ... .

Some movement perpendicular to the shaft is normal as the shaft and bearings ride on a film of oil that is pumped through the bearings when the engine is running. How do you like your Mag-hytec differential covers?

Thanks Kurt, I was really worried there for a while. The Mag-hytec covers are great and although I have not changed my trans. fluid yet it will surely simplify things..... Thanks for the reply and the best of luck to ya... . Steve
