Hi, I have a 1998 12-valve truck with 197,000 miles on it. When servicing it the other day, I had the air tube off of the inlet side of turbo hsng and noticed up and down play in the impeller shaft. Impeller is not rubbing on housing anywhere, but I am wondering how much play should be there. There was no in and out play. If it is time for a different turbo, what are some options? Truck is a manual trans, has the timing bumped a little, and some AFC housing movement mods. It still has the stock plate in it. I am happy with the performance of the truck now, but could be persuaded to do something different if it does need a turbo. Thanks, Jim.
