turbo silencer

can anyone tell me where the turbo silencer is located. and if taking it out does it do anything to the warranty. and is it good idea to remove. i love that turbo when it spools up.

Swampbug74,the turbo silencer ring in at the inlet of the turbo,take the hose off from the air box to the turbo and its rite there,there is a retaining ring that you can get under with your knife,pull the retainer and the ring will come rite out. as far as the warrenty,I dont know but you can put the ring back in in 2 minutes before you go to the dealer so its no big deal,also while you are in there check your turbo blades for dirt or gook this will make sure you are getting a good seal on your filter and housing.
