As all psychotty owners know, a close relationship develops between the driver and the turbo. I never even turn on the radio any more. At low boost, the prevalent sound is a sort of WOOSHING of air through the turbo, but once my boost hits 25psi and over, the turbine wails a much louder whistle. I've noticed this ever since installing the psa unit and the quality of sound has not changed. Do others have the same experience? Do you think it's a bad sign? Do I suffer from what Banks calls "turbo choke"?

I put the PSA in with my other "upgrades". Mine has a low pitched whistle at low boost and a higher pitched whistle at high boosts, kinda like a 747 at takeoff #ad
. I have a HX40 and I swear the dam@@ thing is now attracting those pesky whitetails towards my grill with the PSA #ad
. If all your concerned about is the higher pitch of the whistle, I think it's just the sound of the turbo spining faster, IMHO. Hope this helps !!!

I don't have a 'PreScotty' System but I just bought a "K&N" filter that fits in the stock box and my truck now has a very noticable 'turbo whine. '

Well, so far I only have the bare K&N RE-0880 and pre-filter. All else is stock. At about 8 #'s boost, the turbo sound is a really awesome whooshing sound. Will be getting DD Stage 3's, boost module & full Psychotty in early April, so will know wnat it sounds like after then with the PSA. At any rate, me likes that awesome sound of MORE POWER #ad
