I have some experience here-good and bad. When I tow it's pretty heavy-around 21500 lbs gross. I wanted bigger injectors, so went with a set of 110hp from DDP. Also put in a hybrid turbo from Hi-Tech. This was a mistake! The sticks were too big and pumped too much fuel for towing. My egts were no good. Also, the bigger turbo didn't spool up fast enough for all that fuel. It would sing at higher rpms, but getting on the highway pulling my trailer was leaving a dark cloud of smoke behind me that blocked out the sun.
I know the bigger sticks are great for around town when not towing, but a smaller set will work better for towing. I changed them out for a set of DDP 75's and it's much better now. While I've learned to drive with the hybrid turbo, I had considered putting a stock one back on because it spools faster. What I've done is moved my torque curve higher up in the rpm range. Once I learned to drive it differently, I was happy, but I don't think I really needed to put a new turbo on for towing purposes. When towing heavy, less is more. The 75's with the Smarty and the TST box are just fine. The setup can pull my trailer at speeds far in excess of what's legal or reasonable. As far as for around town, the bigger sticks would be more fun, but you'll lose some flexibility in towing.
