Been thinking about installing one of the turbo temp monitors that run off of a thermocouple and shut the truck down after the temp reaches 300 and key in "off" position.
The actual install and everything would be pretty straight forward and easy ( as long as the instructions are fairly good). I however would like to add a switch to the system to immediately shut down the truck in an emergency, suchas: loss of oil pressure or the rare occasion when I need to grab a drive thru burger on the fly.
I am no electrical genus and the switch kinda is confusing me. I first thought that a switch inline with the power to the box or between the box and the ignition would do it, but it CAN NOT be that easy could it? I've read other similar posts that speak of relays in project boxes and flux capcitors and such, and I wake up on the floor drooling. LOL
ANy eletrical help would be great. I have a pryo installed and have to sit in the truck and let it run down to under 300 ( doesnt take long, but would be great to just jump out).
Thnxs in advance.
