Hi everyone,
I'm new to TRD so bear with me if this is a stupid question.
After reading my owners manual provided by Dodge I found that the turbo requires time to idle and cool the turbo prior to shutting off the engine. This can be anywhere from 15 seconds to 5 min depending on how the vehicle is driven. When I asked my dealer service tech about this he resembled this
, and stated that just let it idle for a couple of seconds then shut it off. This didn't sound right so I blew off his input and continued to follow the manuals advice. Then I heard about a device from a friend called a turbo timer, its some ad on that keeps the engine running after you take the key out to let the turbos cool and allowing me to get out of the vehicle right away instead of sitting there like a dork for 1 to 5 min.
What my question is, has anyone heard of this product? And I've found that there are several brands that sell all kinds of variations of it, can someone suggest one that will work well with my 2003 Dodge 2500.
Thanks for your help.
