Has anyone tried any of the newer turbos yet with the TST box? I remember a few saying they were going to try the new aurora turbo from ATS, but don't remember seeing anything from them since. Anyone having any luck?

I just installed one of kens waste-gated B1-2-04 which is supposed to be updated version of the B1 in a attempt to handle the TST CR box. The truck is a 03' SO with DD2's, TST CR box, AFE intake, 4" exh.

It cooled down about 200 to 250 deg. with some extra power, although with the ATS converter it did create some lag.

So how do you like the turbo? What is it wastegated at? If you don't mind, what is the price? You can shoot me a PM if you don't want to post it.

It was on a buddy's truck i just ordered and installed it have not even got a chance to drive it yet. He likes seeing the lower egt's, power was not what he expected he says he can't tell much difference in it and the piers modified "bomber lite" i need to take it out for a drive to conform this though.

Waste gate needs adjusting he says he's hitting over 50# of boost.

Give olee poole a call @(704) 855-2679

Was it truly a drop in without any modifications? I only ask because I'm looking at the same turbo. What type of wastegate did it have on it?

The B1-2-04 is supposed to be a bolt on replacement but it did not as smooth as i was hoping, the exh. had to be cut (only to shorten, it was the same clamp style), the oil return line had to be alternated.

JUSTIN: With the adjustable TST elbow and the set screw about to fall out he said he's hitting low to mid 50's on the boost. And no it has not been on the dyno yet, probability schied's next month. He was at the sullivan pull this year but with the piers turbo, Black/silver reg. cab think he got 4th.

Can you give me some more detail on the exhaust? It does use the stock elbow correct? Where did you have to cut it? What exactly was wrong with the oil line?

Direct replacement my butt! I'm getting so tired of these dealers and there false advertising...

Gypsyman:

Yes it mounted the same we had to cut some off of the bottom of the down pipe because of the turbo being a little longer.

The oil line just took a little bending to get it lined up close to the one on the block so the rubber line would be lined up.

All-in-all it was not anything major just some small things that are time consuming.

The B-1-2-04 bolted right up to my exhaust, the only thing I had a problem with was that you need to bolt the oil drain back tube on before you bolt the turbo on. There isnt enough room to get to it after the turbo is mounted on. My lag doesent seem to be worse compared to the B-1-2-03, then again I have a different TST box than the rest which could explain that. I can hit 54lbs of boost and the EGT's still go over 1769 (max reading on TST digital box) I have the wastegated version too but wanted to see what kind of boost I could get out of it first. I lost 4lbs of boost while crusing down the road but egt's were stiil very low at crusing speed. More to come.

I just got an e-mail from Piers. They don't know the wheel sizes(?) but they said it was the same p/n but the difference was the non-wastegated was up to 475 hp and the wastegated was for 475 hp and up. Just making sure I have my information correct before I order. Thanks for the heads up!

I thought I heard some talk about a "new" Jammer turbo from DD for our trucks? A big single for really HIGH HP trucks? I think it was about a month, or so ago?

The B1-2-04 does have a bigger compressor wheel, I have checked it and it is bigger! You can get the B1-2-03 or B1-2-04 with or with out a wastegate. there is a difference between the two.
