Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fass Question ?

01' DTT transmission(auto), DDII's, Edge Comp, AFE (on order) and pusher pump. I do a little towing in the mountains... but mainly daily driver and I know I need a bigger turbo. I am looking at the Super B... is this the best for me? I don't plan on adding anymore power(ie-bigger injectors).

Isn't the HTBG the same as the Super B?

The "B" comes as a complete kit including the 4" downpipe. And in the unlikely event (heh, right) that you do increase your power, you can always add their second turbo and turn 'em into twins.

And when it comes to towing in the mountains, a turbo a little on the small side is better than a turbo a little on the big side (unless you like to downshift and keep it wound tight). Top end egt control isn't as important as midrange egt control while towing. The lag becomes very evident as elevation increases.

If I decide I want more power I'll wait until I buy a new one and go from there... I'll only will have this truck another couple years then want the bigger cab... real 4 doors, when the kids come along. Any other recommendations on turbos?

I've got a Super B on mine. It made a big improvement low to mid range, but it's really impressive when the transmission locks up. It also lowered my egt's around 150-200 degrees.

Racer D, how does the kwik spool b-1 fit in is it bigger or smaller than hx-40 what whould be suited best for mach 3 injectors
