turbo upgrades

I am sure that this subject has been beaten to death several times already but I have to ask since the seach does not work.



I am trying to figure out what my best option for a turbo upgrade might be.



My truck has the stock HY35 on it now. I really do not want to get a bunch of lag or slow the spool too much.

I was thinking about an HX35 with a 14cm housing with gate but am not sure. I think the HX40 would be too much.

A lot of my driving is around town and I do not plan to tow often or heavy.



My mods are listed below. Not all of them are on the truck yet but will be soon.

The trans will be getting a helping hand before the turbo is done as well since the Comp will smoke it.

Not sure with the comp.........

But on mine with the EZ and DD2's I didn't see hardly any gain from the upgrade. A little smoother in the power band but not significant EGT or boost changes. With the comp you have the ability to really send more fuel than I do and the benefits may be greater. The PDR HX-35 spools almost the same as the HY. Slightly more lag. I have a 14 cm² non wastegated housing on it now. I'm going to try a stock 12cm² waste gated and see what it does. Again EGT's were never a great concern so now I'm seeing if I can get it to spool quicker.
